Urban Art Walk Düsseldorf – Public Guided Tour
Join a small group and discover the city’s largest gallery, guided by the curator who helped create it
Guided tour in German
Düsseldorf is famous for its museums and galleries. Some of its most exciting art, though, isn’t hanging on white walls. It lives on facades, in backyards, on lampposts and street corners, and most people walk right past it. Join the Urban Art Walk and see a whole new side of the city.
Perfect for
- Visitors exploring Düsseldorf beyond the usual sights
- Locals who want to see their city with new eyes
- Art lovers, photographers and the simply curious
- Solo travelers, couples and friends
Join the walk
You’ll explore the city as part of a small group of fellow art lovers, travelers and locals. Expect good conversation along the way: shared curiosity makes the walls talk even louder.
Art beyond the white cube
Urban art grew out of graffiti, but it has long since become more than that. Many people know it as street art, and that’s part of the story, though not all of it. Urban artists work in studios, exhibit in galleries and show their work in museums. For them, though, the street is not a side stage. It is an essential part of their artistic concept. Their work goes where everyone can see it, free and accessible, no ticket required. It’s about democratizing art, shaping the urban environment and inviting everyone to take part in it.
