On 17.2.2012 we open the exhibition "Grand City Canyon" with works and installations by Pascal Schwendener.
On display are large-format paintings in which Pascal Schwendener deals with the theme of city and future. Enchanted, luminous cityscapes, nested, multidimensional skyscrapers and endless street canyons appear like fragments of a dream; credible constructs with perfect internal proportions depict incredible sceneries. The exhibition is rounded off by an extensive installation in which Pascal Schwendener takes up the theme of the city landscape PASCAL SCHWENDENER GRAND CITY CANYON Vernissage 17.2.2012 7-11 p.m. Event on FacebookExhibition: 17.2. - 02.03.2012
The Swiss artist Pascal Schwendener was admitted to the Düsseldorf Art Academy at the age of 18 as one of the youngest students and is now one of Prof. Peter Doig's students. Intricate, futuristic-looking worlds of form, biocomputers and fantastic visions of the future determine the motifs of his works.
