Last week we were with SAM3 in Playground Printshop, our favorite screen printing shop. There we worked with the Spanish artist on an adaptation of his well-known mural "Voluntas", which he painted in Vila Real. (www.streetartnews.net/2014/04/sam3-voluntas-new-mural-vila-real.html) We are now very happy to release the screen print on Wednesday, December 16th at 7 pm. SAM3 "Voluntas" 5 colors screen print on Hahnemühle "Alt Worms" (300g/m) Edition of 55, 78x49 cm signed & numbered 200€ "Voluntas" is Spanish and means "The Will". The picture shows how the head controls the body, while the body keeps the head above water. As usual, SAM3 works with philosophical concepts in a narrative and poetic way. The production was a real challenge for our screen printers. We are all the happier with the result, which impresses with a beautiful rich blue, a great gradient and the finest dotted shadings on the body. A great print that should not be missing in any collection. "Voluntas" is a 5-color screen print on handmade Hahnemühle "Alt Worms" paper (300g/m) with a deckle edge. The small edition of only 55 prints is signed and numbered by the artist and embossed with the Pretty Portal logo. The sheet measures 78x49 cm. The edition will be available on December 16th from 5 pm in the gallery and from 7 pm in our online shop.
