France has long been a breeding ground for exceptional street art and graffiti styles. It's no wonder, then, that the works of Madrid-based French urban artist REMED are surprisingly different and refreshing.
REMED draws on graphic styles of the seventies, the "New Image" of the eighties, typography and graffiti to create his very individual visual language. His images are to the point, full of zeitgeist yet timeless. Like a time warp, his paintings span the visual worlds of the last forty years. His works and murals can be found in many publications dealing with the topic of street art. REMED is currently one of the most sought-after urban art artists and has already been featured this year in the Carhardt Gallery in Madrid, at AVIA PREVIA in Bologna and in the PURE EVIL Gallery in London.
